Windows 10 is stuffed with new changes, from the interface to the features! However, not all of the features were well received. One of the features the users would like to turn off is notifications, push notifications, and pop-ups in particular. And it seems pretty clear why. Oftentimes when working on your computer, you need to concentrate. It can be difficult if you constantly get notified.
Keep reading to learn how you can stop Windows 10 notifications.
1. Go to the Notifications & actions window. To do so you can:
1.1 Press the Start button => Settings => System => Notifications & actions.
1.2. Click the Action Center icon (it’s located at the bottom-right corner) => All Settings. You’ll see Windows Settings. Select System => find Notifications & actions on the left side of the screen.
2. After that, look at the right side of the window. Below the subheading which says Notifications you’ll find all of your options for Windows 10 push notification. Disable any or all of them.
That’s it! Now you will have control over push notifications and pop-ups.
However, there’s a little more to it.
You can also configure Windows 10 Notifications for different apps.
Even with the apps which are integrated with Windows 10, you’ll have notification options anyway. You can find those apps on the Notifications & actions window, which we’ve just discussed, under the Notifications subheading. In that section, search for “Get notifications from these senders” subheading.
Note: this won’t work if you’ve disabled notifications from apps and other senders on the previous stage.
In this section, you can decide whether you want to receive notifications from each individual app. Let’s have a look at Microsoft Outlook 2013, for example.
Choose the app first. In our case, it’s Microsoft Outlook 2013.
You can totally opt-out notifications from the app of your choice or select the app in the window to see other options, look at the following image to see the variety:
Conclusion
As you can see, you have total control over notifications in Windows 10. Leave all the necessary ones and get rid of the rest of them, and you’ll maintain the balance between keeping updated about the important stuff and not being annoyed by constant notifications.
